Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Exquisito is the one that started it all for Jose "Don" Pepin Garcia.
Once a master roller in Cuba, Don Pepin has been involved in the business since age 11 and now owns
and operates My Father Cigars, a state-of-the-art factory in Nicaragua responsible for some of the
most sought-after cigars in the world. Blue Label is his personal favorite blend, using Nicaraguan
fillers, Nicaraguan Criollo binders, and Habano-Rosado wrappers. This blend was made to mimic the old
time Cubans that Don Pepin grew up with.
The elegant blue band hugs the reddish, veiny cigar that is masterfully constructed to have an easy
draw from which billowing clouds of bluish gray smoke plentifully flow. From first light the smoker
is greeted by the infamous "Pepin Pepper,"" a blast of intense spice across the entire palate. The
smoke settles into a full-bodied array of nutty and spicy flavors with heavy pepper and sweetness on the finish.
This 5 5/8" x 46 stick is very full-bodied and is by no means a beginner cigar. It pairs well with
scotch or bourbon and makes a wonderful weekend smoke for any experienced connoisseur. Comparable
cigars include San Cristobal and Don Pepin Black Label-both additional masterpieces blended by Don
Pepin himself. It doesn't get much closer to the taste of a full-bodied Cuban than Don Pepin Blue
Label Exquisito.
